Export profiles are wrapped in protective film, separated with paper or foam, bundled and, for finished or delicate sections, packed in wooden crates. Long profiles (often 5.8–6.5 m) usually travel in 40 ft containers; the load depends on profile weight and packing. Most buyers buy FOB Tianjin or CIF to their port.
| Item | Typical practice |
|---|---|
| Protection | PE film on visible faces, paper or foam interleaves |
| Bundling | Shrink-wrapped bundles, crates for finished goods |
| Length | Often up to about 6 m to fit containers |
| Container | 20 ft for short lengths, 40 ft for full-length profiles |
| Trade term | FOB Tianjin or CIF destination port |
Avoiding damage
Specify film on visible faces, crates for coated profiles, and dry packing to prevent white rust from condensation.
